INTERNATIONAL VALIDITY
Unlike most other providers the validity of our Wilderness First Aid certification is not restricted to the UK. This is key to our involment with both expeditions and aid agencies. This issue can be a particular problem for those who wish to work within the US or for or in partnership with US corporations or agencies. For this reason we issue students who have passed our Level 2 Wilderness First Aid course and who intent to work outside of the UK a ECSI Wilderness First Aid completion card, valid worldwide for three years. To enable this Muir-Walker Medics Co-op holds Educational Centre status within the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) and abides fully within its operating standards. The ECSI is the worlds most widespread emergency care training organisation providing courses in over 40 countries and is brought to you by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). The AAOS co-authored with the Wilderness Medical Society one of our main course texts: 'Wilderness First Aid: Emergency Care for Remote Locations'. Beyond Wilderness First Aid if your company needs US compliant training we can provide further ECSI certificated courses including: Adult CPR, Pediatric CPR, AED, Standard First Aid, Professional Rescuer CPR First Responder and Bloodbourne Pathogens. These courses are not run as part of our UK open programme but we can provide them in-house within the UK or overseas. Contact our training team to discuss how we can help. The RYA is the worlds most respected sailing organisation and certification is valid globally. As a RYA training centre we can deliver this training overseas on request.
